Dryness / Hydration Reset
Dryness / Hydration Reset
The thirsty-hair chair, across every texture.
Clients whose hair is moisture-starved — from heat, sun, over-washing, environment, or chemical history — and reads dull, rough, and lifeless even when it isn't badly damaged. This is the home of the Hydration Pillar.
It applies across textures: straight, wavy, curly, and coily hair all reach for this page when the issue is moisture rather than structure.
Dehydration is not the same as damage.
Dry hair is often a moisture problem, not a structural one. Knowing the difference keeps you from over-treating with heavy repair when the hair simply needs water and slip restored.
- Dullness and lack of light reflection
- Rough feel and poor slip when wet
- Static, flyaways, and a brittle surface
- Moisture loss from heat, sun, and frequent washing
Clear, flood, seal.
Cleanse gently with Total Refresh. If buildup is blocking moisture from absorbing, clarify briefly with Pure Detox first — then hydrate.
- Apply AquaLush Peptide Hair Mask to damp hair, roots to ends
- Leave several minutes — longer for very dry hair
- Rinse thoroughly
- Humectants attract and bind moisture so hydration holds
- Restores slip, softness, and light reflection
Finish with a small amount of Renew Porosity Balancing Oil on mid-lengths and ends to seal moisture and refine the cuticle for shine.
Hydration is a habit, not a one-time fix.
- AquaLush Peptide Hair Mask weekly in place of conditioner
- Renew Porosity Balancing Oil on ends daily for shine and seal
- The Total Refresh pH Balancing Duo (shampoo + conditioner) for gentle everyday cleansing
- Coach less frequent washing and lower heat to protect moisture
Separate moisture from structure.
- If hair stretches and won't recover, the issue is structural — route to Damaged / Over-Processed rather than hydrating alone.
- Fine hair: keep masks to mid-lengths and ends, shorten dwell time, and rinse well to protect volume.
- High humidity: seal lighter to avoid swelling and frizz; coach the same at home.
- Coarse and coily textures usually welcome longer mask dwell and more sealing oil.
- Layer hydration over repair — they work together, in that order.
Bring the moisture back.
